YVC - Youth Volunteer Corps help seniors and the community.
Both programs are good volunteering opportunities for youth and adults to help their community while helping others.
RSVP provides volunteers to help community organizations that need assistance in their daily work week. This can be at the Struthers Library Theatre or one of the many organizations in the community. Please call 814-723-7751 to volunteer.
RSVP also offers the VITA Tax Program to seniors needing assistance with preparing their taxes each year.
The RSVP Toy Shoppe, on the grounds of the Warren State Hospital, provides volunteers an opportunity to work with their hands making toys for underprivileged children. You can find some of their products in the Recreation Room at the Allegheny Community Center.
YVC youths partner with seniors on special activities. This is a program that gives the youth of today the opportunity to partner with adults as well as to learn how to help senior citizens with some of their needs.
